Young Professionals Inc Scholarship:

The Young Professionals Inc scholarship program is for the student who wants to attend an Islamic school but may not have the financial means.  These scholarships are intended to strengthen the quality of education for every qualifying student.  Insha-Allah, Student scholarships will help pay for tuition, room and board and/or any mandatory fees associated with direct educational costs.

Scholarship Qualifications:

Each application must be completed and postmarked by the deadline to be considered for a scholarship.  The deadline will be posted on the “Applications” page of this site in the top corner.  Each applicant must fill out the application completely; do not leave any spaces blank.  Each student must have a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale.  Students must have unmet financial needs as verified by the school’s financial support office.  Parents applying for the scholarship must have children in or going into the first grade by the beginning of the school year.

Each student must complete 3 essay questions provided on the “Applications” page.  Each essay should be a maximum of 600 words and a minimum of 100 words, any text over 600 words will not be read.  Essays are required for children ten years old and older.  Type each essay on separate pages and include them with your mail in application.  Include the topic question at the top of each page.

Q1. What are your long-term achievements?  Where do you see yourself in five years; where do you see yourself in ten years?

Q2. Describe your contribution to your community (school, family, Mosque, volunteer work etc.) and what you will contribute to your community after completing your education.

Q3. Describe a challenge you have faced and how you overcame it.

When the student is awarded a full one year scholarship:

The typical school year is broken into four quarterly divisions; the student must supply their grades per each quarter.  Once it is determined that the student does meet the minimum acceptance qualifications, the student, Insha-Allah, will receive an approval letter and the school will be sent a check on behalf of the student for the next quarter.

The amount of the awarded scholarship may vary depending upon the financial needs of each family.

Parent / Guardian Financial Requirements:

To qualify for a scholarship you must verify proof of income.  Each parent or guardian must submit one of the following: a copy of your most recent tax returns, most recent pay stubs, or Business or Farm statements or Corporate Tax Return, Schedule C or Schedule F.

  • A copy of either parents’ or legal guardians’ most recent income tax returns must be less than 90 days old and submitted with the application.  If there is only one working parent or legal guardian in the home, then only one tax return is sufficient.  However, please note on the back of the application page if there is only 1 income in the household.
  • Business, or Farm statements, Corporate Tax Return, Schedule C or Schedule F must also be submitted, if applicable.
  • A copy of the either parents’ or legal guardians’ most recent pay stubs.  You must verify your income for at least two months.  If you get paid every week then you will need the last eight stubs, if your get paid every two weeks then you will need to provide four pay stubs, however if you are paid every month then the last two will be sufficient.

We recommend cutting out the social security # from your submitted income information.  SS# is NOT REQUIRED; cutting out the SS# on your tax or pay stubs will not affect your application.

SINGLE SISTERS with children, who have no income, may receive special consideration regarding their financial situation; please contact us for more information.

The amount of the awarded scholarship may vary depending upon the financial needs of each family.
